Secret ingredient- Mashed Potatoes

I'm pretty much world famous for my mashed potatoes. Ok.... That just really means that my husband loves them. :-) But anyways. There is definitely an art and a secret ingredient to getting delicious mashed potatoes like mine!

-Wash and cut into chunks 4-5 potatoes.
     -Remove any bad spots.
I leave the skins on the potatoes because I like the texture of having them in my mashed        potatoes. And also its just the way my mama made mashed potatoes!
-Place in a pot and cover with water
-Over medium heat, boil until the potatoes are tender.
-Turn on oven to 400 degrees F.

This is the part where the magic happens!
-Drain the water off of the potatoes and add to the pot:
         2 Tbs. butter
         2 Tbs. sour cream
         3 oz. cream cheese
         1/4 tsp. garlic powder
         1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
         1 Tbs. milk
And finally add the secret ingredient!!!
1 Tbs. italian dressing---not the off brand nasty stuff. The real deal. Wishbone Italian Dressing :-)
-Use a hand mixer to blend everything together and make the potatoes nice and fluffy!
-Butter a 1 - 1 1/2 qt. baking dish and spoon the potatoes in. Then place a few dots of butter on top and a sprinkling of parsley flakes.

Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is a nice golden brown and is kind of crusty on top! YUMMY!  Now enjoy your secret ingredient mashed potatoes. Trust me. People will ask you how you made them so delicious!
